Tasmania Special Olympics
To show that we are serious about involving the community in our music programs, the UTAS Conservatorium of Music donated the entire Box Office from TDO 2010 Concert 2 to Special Olympics Tasmania (SOTAS).
Established in Tasmania in 1976, SOTAS continues to introduce people with an intellectual disability to a range of sports and the benefits an active lifestyle can offer.
SOTAS is a founding branch of Special Olympics Australia (SOA), a not-for-profit organisation which transforms the lives of people with intellectual disability through sports participation and competition. It is not just one single event. It happens year-round in communities across Australia.
The Conservatorium of Music is proud to be associated with this most worthy organisation.
