
John Ferguson was born in London and studied at Dartington College of Arts, Exeter University, and the Huddersfield University School of Music. Before coming to Australia in 1987, John worked as a Musical Director for theatres, brass bands and choirs, as well as some work arranging and conducting for Television South West (TSW), the North Yorkshire Schools Concert Band, and Thames Television.
Internationally acclaimed symphonic and operatic conductor, Myer Fredman studied music at the Dartington Hall College of the Arts and was awarded the Eileen Joyce Scholarship for further conducting studies in London with Vilem Tausky and Peter Gellhorn. He later undertook a number of lessons with Sir Adrian Boult and assisted Dr. Otto Klemperer, Maestro Vittorio Gui, Sir Charles Mackerras, and Sir John Pritchard.
