Applying for the Tasmania Discovery Orchestra

We are constantly looking for new players in all sections of the orchestra to participate in upcoming concerts. Applications for the Tasmania Discovery Orchestra are accepted on an ongoing basis. 

To Apply for the Tasmania Discovery Orchestra, applicants are required to submit an audition DVD, as outlined below, and complete the APPLICATION FORM. 

Audition Requirements

Applicants auditioning are required to present instrument specific excerpts, as available on the right, only. We do not require any pieces. We encourage auditionee's to audition on their auxiliary instrument as well if applicable. (i.e. Flute & Piccolo, Clarinet & Bass Clarinet etc.) Performances are to be filmed directly facing the camera and without any post video or audio editing. 

N.B. Candidates are advised to seek appropriate advice on how to make an effective and successful recording. The UTAS Conservatorium of Music is neither responsible for nor can extend deadlines, where recordings are lost or damaged in the mail. Please use adequate packaging and check the DVD works consistently on all computers.
